After looking in many forums with no joy, this is the method it worked for me:
Press the Menu and Power button at the same time for a few seconds.
and forget about the Reset hole!

I do this but I see no menu options, just a dead android image – which i assume is recovery mode, so how do you get to see the options???

but then, there is an android logo with open chest and and and exclamatory sign no menu there… 😦
This is to enter into recovery mode. Then you must follow the regular procedure. Look for it into other webs. Good luck! (My tablet still works perfectely after installing the regular android verion!)
The only way I could really get into the recovery mode ready for flashing is this:
1. Connect the USB cable
2. Switch off the tablet
2. Press Menu + Reset
